Oppose the Destruction of part of the American River Parkway

 

So many of us are finding our voice and sharing our concern about the US Army Corps of Engineers’ (USACE) Contract 3B, which will bulldoze 2 miles of American Riverfront this summer. And it’s working.   Because of many of you, the USACE extended the deadline to February 23rd for public comment on its SEIS/SEIR report.  These comments are what many say is the best chance we have of influencing this plan. Our comments go into public record and the USACE is required to respond. So the more informed public comments we can submit, the more the USACE can respond to our concerns.    We need as many people as possible to submit public comments before Feb 23!     There’s a few ways we’re working to make this happen: Join our Community Roundtable on THURSDAY February 15th at 7:00 PM.  Want to find out more about the issues and concerns many of us are finding?  Join us, ask questions and find ways to get more involved. Click here to sign up!   Join our Letter Writing Party on Tuesday, February 20, from 6-8 pm, at CAP’s Pizza and Tap House. (8960 La Riviera Dr, in the Big Lots Shopping Center).
